The Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards are the highest awards a Girl Scout can achieve. These awards are given to Scouts that complete a project that is beneficial to their community and to the broader world. They demonstrate the their leadership abilities and commitment to their community. Scouts who earn any or all of these awards grow their leadership skills and make an impact on their community.
What It Means To Be a Higher Award Scout
These awards are the highest honors in Girl Scouts. These projects requires Scouts to grow their leadership skills and to help their community. Completing a project demonstrates a Scout's potential to impact their community.
Scholarships and Other Opportunities
It takes a lot of work to earn one of these awards, especially the Gold Award. Many people recognize this and the amazing Scouts that dedicate their time to earn these awards. There are many scholarship opportunities specifically for Gold Award Scouts. Make sure you look into opportunities for Gold Award Scouts across the world and for those specifically in your council.
Bronze Award
For Junior Girl Scouts (4th and 5th graders)
This is the highest award a Junior Girl Scout can recieve. For this award the Girl Scout must contribute at least 20 hours. Before starting their Bronze Award, Girl Scouts first need to have completed at least one Junior Girl Scout Journey. This project is completed in a team of Junior Scouts. Silver Award
For Cadette Girl Scouts (6th-9th graders)
This is the highest honor a Girl Scout Cadette can achieve. For this award the Girl Scout must contribute at least 50 hours. For Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts (High Schoolers)
This is the highest award in Girl Scouting! For this award the Girl Scout must contribute at least 80 hours. Before starting their Gold Award, Girl Scouts first need to have completed at least 2 Senior or Ambassador Journeys OR earned a Silver Award and completed at least one Senior or Ambassador Journey.
